Martin Sommer was born and raised in Swabia. After studying Business Administration in Cologne, he completed his Master\u2019s in Economics in Manchester and has been working in the film industry ever since.<\/p>
Following numerous roles, ranging from production driver to producer at FFP Media, he founded the production company Wasabi Film in 2002, producing films for ARD and Sat.1. These included projects such as Killerbees<\/em>, which sold in over 25 territories, including a US DVD release.<\/p> Since early 2023, he has been working as a freelance producer, amongst others for Amalia Film. Martin Sommer sees himself as a creative producer.
