Felix von Poser attended the IT Kolleg in Innsbruck, Austria, and later studied filmproduction & media business at Munich’s renowned Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film.
While still in film school, he directed and produced numerous short films and commercials (Zwei Zimmer, Balkon, Nebeneinander and Spaghetti für Zwei to name a few) which won numerous awards at several national and international festivals, including the Studio Hamburg Newcomer Award, the Starter Film Award and the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau Award as well as awards at the Palm Springs Shortfilm Festival, the L.A. Film and Script Festival and the New York International Film Festival.
While still in film school, he joined the Munich-based production company Roxy Film as a junior producer and worked on feature films such as Almanya – Willkommen in Deutschland, Sommer in Orange, and Hirngespinster as well as the television movies Die Tote im Moorwald (ZDF) and In den besten Familien (ZDF).
In 2013 he started his own company, Sparkling Pictures, which has produced numerous movies since, including the german Bundeswehr drama Nabilah, set in Afghanistan, the English language thriller Replace, the documentary Was Tun, as well as the adventure film König Laurin, which received numerous awards, including the Gilde Film Award and the Goldener Spatz in three categories, and the White Elephant as best producer at Munich Filmfestival.
In April 2017 Felix von Poser joined Amalia Film as producer and managing director. He’s now also a shareholder, together with majority shareholder Studio Hamburg Production Group.
Shortly after joining Amalia Film, he produced the feelgood comedy I LOVE EVERYTHING, I HATE ABOUT YOU, which premiered at the prestigious Filmfestival Hofer Filmtage 2018. It was released in cinemas in 2019. In 2018 he produced the RTL series Die Klempnerin with producers Cornel Schäfer and Sibylle Stellbrink and, in 2019, the ARD production LEONHARDS TRAUM, as well as the feature film „Lindenberg! Mach dein Ding“ in co-production with LETTERBOX Filmproduktion, SevenPictures Film and DCM, which was released in January 2020. Together with lead producer Zeitsprung Pictures, he produced the historical high-end series Oktoberfest – 1900, which will air on ARD in September 2020 ARD.
Currently, he is in production of the historic TV event "3 ½ Stunden“ together with Real Film Berlin, which is to be broadcast on August 13, 2021 on the 60th anniversary of the construction of the Wall as part of a 24-hour program on the construction of the Wall in the ARD.
