This riveting procedural series follows police psychologist Mina Baumer and her colleague, Chief Commissioner Thomas Waldeck of the Essen Police Force. Mina’s motto is respond first, talk later! Together with Thomas, she resolves police cases in a unique style, whilst also addressing the problems of her ‘clients’ with a good dose of empathy and pragmatism.
Mina sees herself as ‘craftworker of the human soul’. She is sympathetic, lightening-quick and very unconventional – ready for battle in the man’s world in which she works – but always with a touch of humour. For Mina it’s the result that counts, even if the way she reaches it is difficult for her colleagues and ‘clients’ to understand at first. And it isn’t just in her job where Mina is resourceful, she applies the same ethic in raising her two teenagers and has them fully under control.
Mina and Thomas develop a great working relationship from the very start. They both work in a similar manner, with the same goal in mind of gaining results. While Mina is busy finding a way in with people, Thomas uncovers the hidden clues of the case. Together they make an unstoppable and affable team.
